Do I Need to Get in Shape?
Published on: December 13, 2005
Here is a tool that'll help you determine whether your new year resolution should include getting into shape. The chart is easy to use, simply look for your height and follow the row to the right until you find your current weight. The color of the box will tell you whether you are healthy, overweight, or obese. The number inside of the box is your Body Mass Index (BMI) which is a measure of body weight relative to height. A BMI below 18.5 is underweight, between 18.5 and 25 is an indication of healthy weight, 25 to 30 is overweight, a BMI over 30 is referred to as obese, over 35 is known as morbid obesity, and over 40 indicates extreme obesity.
