Samplefest‚ is a monthly shipment of a minimum of ten ‘new’ products that are delivered right to the consumer’s home based on their lifestyle [healthy eating, ethnic cooking, convenience, new parents, etc.].

Sampling is one of the most effective and fasting growing promotional categories growing at an average of over 20% annually. In-store promotion accounted for over $14 billion dollars last year with close to $2 billion spent on sampling alone. Packaged goods brands are shifting more dollars to sampling for three reasons:

- sampling increases sales faster than traditional media

- sampling is immediately measurable

- sampling on the Internet affords the opportunity for more targeted distribution and therefore a higher incidence of converting trial to sale

- sampling is an untapped resource for valuable consumer research data

Phil Lempert originally developed Samplefest‚ as an in-store advertised sampling event in 1987 to attract new customers to both the store and participating brands. It has been successfully executed over 100 times in supermarket chains including ShopRite, Grand Union, and Dominick’s.
