Diana Greenwood Mead, Contributor

Diana, an avid gardener for thirty years lives in Hampshire, England. She is a botanical artist and is a member and medalist of the Royal Horticultural Society and has exhibited pictures both with the RHS and the Botanical Society.
Diana's combined interest in horticulture and art has been a lifelong passion and her earliest memory of creating art involves an elaborate mural drawn on a hotel bedroom wall in her mother's favorite Elizabeth Arden lipstick.
She went on to study Design at Central St. Martins Art School in London, subsequently spending several years doing various types of art, design & illustration for advertising, print, animation and movies.
She commuted between Paris and London whilst working for an Anglo-French Advertising Agency and during her time in Paris learned fine gilding, and developed a fascination with egg tempura paints; she continues to use these techniques along with her favorite acrylics.
After marriage and moving to the country an enormous farmhouse garden allowed her passion for gardening to really flourish - no longer confined to the pots of city gardening - and by extensive reading and trial and error her 'deep love of all things green & growing' grew into expertise.
Once her children were at school she took the time to continue her art education still further by studying fine art and silk screen printing.
Diana's two main interests in painting are architectural and botanical and she has exhibited with the Society of Botanic Artists, at the Mall Galleries and at the Royal Horticultural Society's winter shows in London.
Diana is currently working on a two year Diploma course with the Botanic Society.
