Allergy Friendly Breakfast Foods

Welcome to our new weekly page where we will be featuring recipes or products each week that are ... Allergy Friendly!

BreakfastSometimes there's nothing more enticing than a hearty weekend breakfast and with more and more great products out there for allergy sufferers there's no need to feel deprived of classic breakfast foods anymore!

Breakfast Sausage
SausageApplegate Farms has a new line of chicken sausages called Sunday Sausage that are available in Sage, Maple and Apple varieties – with a simple ingredient list and a delicious taste; even the most picky taste buds will be happy with these. The sausages are not overly flavored or too salty and each flavor is different enough to make it worth trying them all to see which is your favorite - Maple would be great for kids and those with a sweet tooth, Apple is surprisingly subtle and not too sweet and Sage is a slightly more sophisticated savory taste.

Toast
EnerG TapiocaEnerG tapioca bread is my favorite choice – after its been toasted and liberally buttered, jammed, or both.

EnerG RaisinEnerG also make a Raisin Bread which is gluten, wheat, casein, dairy, soy, nut free and is made either with or without eggs.

And look out for EnerG's cinnamon rolls for a real breakfast treat!

Pancakes and Waffles
Bob's RedmillBob's Redmill Gluten Free Pancake Mix gets good reviews, can be made with a milk alternative and is gluten free, wheat free and dairy free, but does need an egg for preparation.

The Cravings PlaceThe Cravings Place All-Purpose Pancake & Waffle Mix is a great product because all you need to add is water – it was created for kids and the versatile mix is unsweetened so you can add your own sweetener or sweet toppings.

And finally if you have an allergy to eggs or are Vegan, why not try this recipe for Sweet Potato Pancakes as a satisfying and nourishing alternative to omelets or scrambles.

Email any of your own tips or recipes and if we feature your suggestion on the page we'll send you a SupermarketGuru tote bag to say thanks!
