Healthy Home Delivery

Published on: March 19, 2008

Most of us would love to eat better ... whether its to lose weight or for better health! But who has the time to read the labels, buy dozens of ingredients, clean them, prepare them, cook them and then have the confidence that these "healthier" foods will actually taste good?

Now the time has come where there are actually people who will do all this for us ... it's a trend that evolved out of the in-home chefs that would go to celebrities homes and cook for them for big bucks. And just like most trends, its now become affordable for many of us.

Today there are about 50 different companies throughout the United States who prepare these foods and deliver them to your home. Some deliver in person and some by FedEx. Some are fresh and some are frozen, depending on where you live.

The key is finding one of these companies that not only make great tasting and healthy foods, but actually customize it to what you like taste wise and what you need nutritionally.

We selected 5 of these companies to bring on The View this morning and to show a what a weeks worth of food would cost, and to do our own taste test to see just what Whoopi, Sheri, Elizabeth and Joy have to say!

Keep in mind that the prices are averages and may differ based on your individual requirements, some companies add a delivery fee. All plans have various options (vegan, organic, optimum results, etc.) so check carefully what meets your needs best. Typically these plans require a minimum of two to four week commitment.
