That’s a nice! Takes a Delicious Coffee Break
May 15, 2008
Three Sicilian-style coffees from the gourmet Sicilian pasta and sauce line, That's a nice, are now available both in retail stores and online. The coffees debuted this year, earning them the "Best Tasting Coffee" award from the 2008 Winter Fancy Food Show.
These Sicilian-style coffees are not to be confused with Italian dark roasts as they are roasted to a definitive city medium style without the edge of harshness frequently found in overly roasted dark blends. All take well to milk and/or sugar.
The three choices are Buon Giorno, (good morning), whole espresso beans that grind easily for a pick-me-up blend perfect for breakfast. Try it with a little milk and/or some cocoa powder for a rich taste. It is the more robust of the three and had the best all-around coffee profile, pleasantly aromatic with a clean full city roast-style flavor. Price is $10.99 for 12 ounces.
The La Famiglia (the family) is a milder blend and comes ground. It provides a full city medium dark roast flavor with different layers of complexity; an ideal "all day" coffee. Price is $10.99 for 12 ounces.
The Caffé Earth is an "eco friendly" blend of ground coffee that is Rainforest Alliance Certified ™. It is smooth tasting although a little on the thin side. Price is $11.99 for 12 ounces.
We tested these with the recommended 2-3 teaspoons and believe all benefit from heavier measurements of one and one-half or two level tablespoons per cup. Subsequent experiments revealed no bitterness or harshness and even leaving the grounds in the French press longer than normal still provided a very genuine coffee taste. All three selections are 100% Arabica beans, micro roasted in small batches with a digitally profiled and controlled infrared heat formula for consistency. Each is packed in vacuum black foil bags for protection from sunlight and extreme temperatures and the bags are fully resealable to insure freshness.
That's a nice also offers a Coffee Break Club for monthly deliveries direct to you. For more information on the Club, or information about the retail sources, log onto www.thatsanice.com. That's a nice coffees are available at Whole Foods Markets in California, Bella Deli in Southington, CT, Baskets with Attitude in Scottsdale, AZ, Village Meat & Wine in Las Vegas, NV and other fine gourmet food shops throughout the US and on their web site.
