Mrs. Meyer’s Earth Friendly, Cruelty Free Products Make Cleaning a Breeze!

I hate cleaning – at least I that's what I've always thought, but it turns out it's not the cleaning, but the cleaning products I hate.

I've always associated my pounding head, stinging eyes, stuffy sinuses and aching muscles whenever I tackled the bathroom or kitchen with an aversion to the actual act of cleaning, secretly nursing the fact that I must be one of nature's slobs! I've managed to hide my dirty little secret by making sure the surfaces at least were presentable when people came over, compulsively 'straightening', but I always knew that clean wasn't really a word that was substantiated in my apartment.

You would think that someone afflicted with life-long allergies like me would have figured this out long ago, but it wasn't until those cute Mrs. Meyer's labels caught my eye, that I realized it was the cleaning products and not the actual cleaning itself that was causing my symptoms ...
Once I figured out that I could effectively scrub everything with an attractively packaged, nice smelling, environmentally, nose, skin, eye, brain and animal friendly product, I threw out all my toxic cleaning products and discovered I like scrubbing!
Now I find it cathartic, even meditative – satisfying in that the results are so tangible.

And yes, Mrs. Meyer is a real person, named Thelma, who has raised 9 children, so she knows a little bit about cleaning ...

Mrs. Meyer's products aren't cheap – my friend Kristin goes into raptures over the "aromatherapeutic" smell (from real essential oils) of the Lavender Dryer Sheets and the Lavender Detergent, but at $7.99 and $11.99 respectively, they are a bit of a luxury. They do have special offers on the website and the All Purpose Cleaner at $7.99 lasts forever and can tackle pretty much any job (along with copious amounts of baking soda for extra scrubbing power).

Now if I just had more time my whole apartment would be sparkling – really it would – no, really ...

Please Note: Some of Mrs. Meyer's products do contain corn and soy so please avoid if you are allergic to corn or soy.
