Is this a soup or is this a starter? And what does that mean anyway? To be honest with you I think the best description is what's on the label - 'Cooking Sauce'. For me a starter needs to have more ingredients and that normally would take lots of prep work. Sure they have recipes on the label - but that's not making my meal prep easier. This does have a mild garlic and salt flavor and is certainly creamy, but the reality is it's mostly chicken stock, celery and soybean oil. Half a cup contains 5 grams of fat and 430 mg of sodium. It's not a bad idea, but frankly, for it to be a success it is going to have to include a lot more "starter ingredients". This is more like taking a can of cream of mushroom soup and using on pasta in college.

This is a different kind of Caesar dressing than you might be used to. The first taste on your tongue is more mustard-like than tasting garlic and cheese. It's a very thick consistency and very flavorful. A little goes a long way. The base is canola oil but unlike so many other dressings you really don't taste that sometimes annoying canola flavor. As with many rich creamy dressings this one is not for those on a diet - 2 tablespoons are 140 calories and 16 grams of fat.

We all know that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. And we all know that finding a cereal that tastes great and has a good nutritional profile is difficult. Kashi to the rescue. Made with whole grain corn and mixed with evaporated cane juice, blackberries and blueberries this cereal has just the right crunch and is delicious. Unlike other sweetened cereals this one only has 6 grams of sugars and has 22 grams of whole grains. The fruit, which is freeze dried and then plumps up when milk is added, tastes great. And while I know that there's this little picture of blueberries and blackberries on the package I'd love to see them put 'blueberries and blackberries' on the front instead of just calling them 'dark berries'.

I guarantee you've never tried a beverage like this. A recipe of chia seeds, which stay suspended since they are hydrated, agave, fruit juices and purees. Each bottle contains 4 grams of protein, 14 grams of sugars and 120 calories. Here's where it stands out - 2500 mg of omega 3s, 965 mg of omega 6s and 365 mg of omega 9s. But it's a beverage, so I am sure you want to know, how does it taste? Actually, very good. The consistency though is a little gelatinous on the first sip, but once you get used to it it's actually quite satisfying. It will take some time to get used to looking at and feeling those chia seeds though.

I can't remember the last time we tasted an organic salsa, but I'm so happy we did. This is one of the best tasting, most aromatic, perfectly hot salsas. I have one complaint and it's only a little one, but I like my salsa a little chunkier. A perfect blend of diced and crushed tomatoes, not tomato paste. A wonderful recipe of spices, peppers and lime juice. Only 10 calories for 2 tablespoons, zero fat and zero sugars and just 100 mg of sodium. Not only do I like the product a lot, but I also really like what this company stands for and how they support sustainability. What's really cute are the markers on the side of the label that designate how much you have - 'Plenty', 'Soon', or 'Need More'. You'll need more.
