I know kids love to add ingredients, especially different colors, shapes and textures, into their foods and this line of pudding snacks is designed for that, but wait, wouldn't it be great if instead of all these sugars, artificial colors and artificial flavors we had mix-ins that were nuts or wheat germ or dried fruit? The idea is right but if we're ever going to get kids to eat healthier and to taste real food we've got to start now. One cup of pudding and toppings is 130 calories and 19 grams of sugars.

Caesar Salad

This is a really terrific idea. There are a whole bunch of different varieties, but I tasted the Caesar Salad. What I really like is not only do they also understand how much kids love to mix things together, but also, instead of toppings like bacon bits they have a dried fruit blend of raisins, cranberries, peaches, blueberries, and apples and multigrain croutons. The taste of the chicken, the cheese, the dressing and the fruit are all terrific. Even the croutons are crispy and flavorful. Now comes the bad part… all this excess packaging and this long list of artificial preservatives and colors. I know it's hard to have a product like this that'll stay fresh in the supermarket, but this is so close to perfection… Don't stop trying! Just 230 calories and with 9 grams of fat and 11 grams of protein, but with 15 grams of sugars.

35 years ago most shoppers who weren't Italian had never heard of biscotti. In the New York area there were companies like Stella D'oro who tried to make biscotti mainstream, but failed. Then along came Bonnie Tempesta, who succeeded and sold biscotti everywhere! Now Bonnie's back with this new brand that I think is better than ever. The first ingredient is actually chocolate, and the chocolate is so delicious you'll be tempted to pull it off the top and eat it separately, but don't because the biscotti itself is equally as good. One biscotti is about 70 calories, 3 1/2 grams of fat and 5 grams of sugars. It contains two individually wrapped packs.

This product is a HIT!

If you're looking for a new low calorie, very healthy and tasty beverage, check this one out. Just 20 calories to a bottle and loaded with live probiotics, in a recipe of water, coconut water and fruit. The flavor of the mango and coconut is not overpowering and will not interfere with the flavors of food. One word of caution - it is naturally effervescent, so don't do what I did and shake the bottle first. It is sweetened with stevia.

Rose Garlic

This product is a HIT!

This is a tasty and very healthy sauce to use on vegetables, salad, fish or chicken. In a base of low fat yogurt, it contains active cultures, raw garlic and herbs with lots of flavor. Just 15 calories for 2 tablespoons, zero fat and just 2 grams of naturally occurring sugars, this is a great example of a product that can add flavor without adding tons of artificial colors or flavors. The yogurt flavor is subtle and the garlic and herbs are very fresh tasting. You will enjoy adding this and using instead of those bottled dressings.
