Lemon Lime Soda

I applaud the idea of a 10 calorie soda. The taste is terrific, but I have to wonder about 2 things. Number one, high fructose corn syrup is still the second ingredient, (really? can't we just switch to real sugar?) with just 10 calories they are using a blend of aspartame and sunnett. And why all of a sudden is grey the latest color for food packaging? It looks too much like military issue.

As I'm sure you know by now coconut waters are one of the latest trends. But remember, there are two kinds of coconut waters - one is the liquid itself from the coconut unadulterated, and the other is water with coconut added. This one is water with coconut, honey, almonds and cacao added - it is actually 16% juice. One bottle is 380 calories, around 27 grams of fat and 25 grams of sugars. The chocolate flavor is good, but remember the consistency is that of water, don't expect it to have the mouthfeel of, say, chocolate milk.

We know we have to eat more vegetables and innovations like this make it possible. Just 10 minutes in the microwave and you get perfectly cooked, delicious sweet potatoes. Nothing is added to these , it's just a steaming bag that keeps in all the flavor and nutrients. My only complaint is that there are five potatoes in this bag - I would like to see a smaller package with just two, since almost half of all meals today are consumed by a single person. Just a reminder that sweet potatoes contain almost 4 times the RDA for vitamin A and 440 mg of potassium.
