In 1988 Oscar Meyer launched Lunchables, which have now become a mainstay. This next iteration actually comes with this Chiquita Fruit Smoothie, which is 100% juice, with no artificial flavors, or colors and no sugars added. However there are 15 grams of naturally occuring sugars from the fruit and it's actually pretty tasty. When Lunchables first came out, their 'pizza' was little crackers that you added the sauce and cheese to. They've come a long way, where now it's actually a pizza crust with a little ridge to keep the sauce and the cheese from spilling over. I found the sauce a little too sweet and the cheese itself is actually 'reduced fat mozzarella and cheddar pasteurized prepared cheese product', which is why after microwaving for 20 seconds it hardly melted. The pepperoni is a blend of pork, chicken and beef and was actually good and not too salty. The dessert? Chips Ahoy cookies. All of this is 400 calories, 14 grams of fat, 27 grams of sugars and 12 grams of protein. The pizza and cookies are 4 ounces and the the smoothie is 4 1/2 ounces, and I have to wonder if that's going to be enough to satisfy - more of a snack than a lunch.

I know you're going to wish that I had shared this product with you a month ago when egg nog season first started, but it's not too late! This Vanilla Nog is actually delicious with half the fat of typical egg nogs; just 4 1/2 grams for a half a cup. With 5 grams of protein and 22 grams of sugars. Yes it has artificial flavors, but this time of year you can indulge and this product is worth it. And yes it contains real egg yolks.

I know what you're thinking… that these Red Walnuts are colored red just for the holidays… not true! Red walnuts are the result of grafting Persian red skinned walnuts onto English walnuts in the growing process. They actually taste exactly like the walnuts that you're used to, however what I really applaud is how firm the meat of the nut is. Many supermarket walnuts these days are mushy and tasteless - not these. And remember walnuts are a terrific health food because they are rich in unsaturated oils, minerals, fiber, protein and antioxidants. So Sanguinetti why are you limiting yourself on the label by claiming just for 'holiday baking' - this product is great to snack on anytime.

The next time you're in a supermarket, stop and take a look at the hundreds of different varieties and brands of oil - frankly it's just overwhelming. This grapeseed oil - yes, it's made from grape seeds - is a lighter color and milder taste than you might be used to. Grapeseed oil is known for two things - being rich in antioxidants, and being able to be used at higher cooking temperatures. As with all oils it is 14 grams of fat per tablespoon and 120 calories. Oil for cooking or oil for salads is all about personal taste. Should you give this a try? Absolutely since it is so affordable.

It seems like we're getting a lot more frozen pizzas these days to taste, and with each one they seem to be getting better and better. This pizza uses a garlic, Parmesan cream sauce instead of a tomato sauce - and is loaded with spinach, portabello and button mushrooms. One 5 ounce slice, which is about one fifth of the package is perfect for a lunch or a snack. The slice is 11 grams of protein and 10 grams of fat, but it does have 42 grams of carbs. The crust is a combination of of whole wheat and wheat flours and delivers 8 grams of whole grains per slice. How does it taste? Absolutely delicious. Just one request, that I wish they offered the same toppings on just my favorite New York style crust. The thin kind!
