Asian-Style Chicken Salad with Sesame Ginger Vinaigrette
This product is a MISS!
The idea here is you take this frozen package, which contains 3 components - a sesame ginger vinaigrette, processed white meat chicken with vegetables and pineapple and a small bag of crispy noodles, you then cook the pouch and pour it over your own lettuce, and defrost the sauce and pour that and the noodles on top. Seems like an awful lot of work, especially since the chicken (that has 12 ingredients itself) tastes very rubbery, and even though they've added dried chicken powder and natural flavors it really doesn't taste like chicken.

Vegitarian Garlic Sauce
This product is a HIT!
Someone had fun writing very clever copy on the label. This sauce is a recipe of olive oil, red wine vinegar, garlic, sugar, onion and spices. The garlic flavor and aroma wasn't nearly as strong as I expected, and the olive oil itself, probably because of the red wine vinegar, didn't have a strong fresh flavor. I could see using this as a salad dressing or pasta sauce, but just as a dipping sauce for bread or cheese it's a little bland. It does not live up to the promise of the 'warnings' of a heavy garlic flavor on the label!

I found this product, which is a really cool idea, on a supermarket dairy shelf in Dallas. One of these squares (and there's 6 to a package) is a combination of butter, olive oil, garlic and other spices. You take a square, heat it in a frying pan, just add your food and sauté. It is so easy, so quick and so convenient. One square is 14 grams of fat, but very, very tasty. This makes cooking simple.

This is a new snack that combines chocolate granola pieces with freeze dried strawberry yogurt discs. One bag is 130 calories, just 7 grams of sugars, 3 1/2 grams of fat and 16 grams of whole grains. It really is a good tasting combination. My only recommendation is to make the yogurt drops a little less sweet and a little more strawberry-y.

This is the grown up Cheese Doodle for kids. It won't turn your fingers orange, it's organic and gluten free and they're baked. They're very tasty, have a terrific crunch and 21 dinosaurs are just 130 calories, 4 1/2 grams of fat and less than 1 gram of sugar. Who knew? You and your kids will love them. And by the way, they do actually look like mini-dinosaurs.
