I first tasted this product at the Retail Dietician's Convention in Philadelphia in October and while the premise is that a 190 calorie, 3 grams of fat, 15 grams of protein pizza is as they say "The first delicious and nutrient rich, low calorie pizza", the taste leaves a lot to be desired. Under the controlled conditions they served it at in Philly and our preparation here in the offices, the crust, sauce and cheese leave a lot to be desired. When will we realize that even healthy food, especially pizza, has to taste great?

Are we so bored with our beverages that we yearn for excitement from... bottle caps? Just twist the cap and the all natural flavors, colors and teas get released into the water. The beverage is made from both black and white teas as well as cane sugar, stevia and natural flavor. It's very sweet and frankly I taste only a hint of tea, pomegranate, or acai. As they say on the label it's powered by 'gizmo' - maybe we need a little less gizmo and a little less sugar - and more tea? While the bottle itself is PET # 1 recyclable I have to wonder just what impact the cap device has on the recyclability.

This is one clever idea, as more people are enjoying honey in their beverages, on top of cereal or even to cook with. Each packet contains a combination of natural honey and sugar, which is called 'granulated honey'. The taste isn't as honey-like as I expected. Back to the idea - the concept is a winner, just how about adding more honey? Which makes us wonder what the advantage of this product is over just the pure liquid honey packets that are available?

Cheddar & Roasted Tomato Potato Chips

This product is a HIT!

I always look forward to Kettle's new products. These are baked - 20 chips contain about 3 grams of fat and 120 calories. The flavor of the cheddar and tomato is in perfect balance, not too cheesy, not too tomato-y and would be delicious with chunky salsa. The chips themselves are nice and crispy and thick enough to dip. Unlike so many chips the cheese is a blend of cheddar and Romano instead of just a dried cheese orange powder.

The Happy Egg Co: Eggs

Free Range

This product is a HIT!

These eggs are the darkest brown eggs I've ever seen. And remember that there's no difference nutritionally between brown and white eggs. The eggs tasted delicious. I tried them hard boiled and besides having a great name I love the fact that these hens are free to roam outdoors. I applaud the move back to a paperboard container with an air cell below the egg which allows the egg to breathe and stay fresher longer.
