With the Presidential election just over a month away, SupermarketGuru was curious about President Obama and Mitt Romney’s favorite foods. What types of foods do the President and presidential candidate fancy? Here’s what SupermarketGuru found.

According to 2012.presidential-candidates.org chili is Obama's favorite food to cook, he also told 60 minutes that he cooks cheese toast, tuna fish, and omelets. And according to his daughters, he’s not a big fan of sweets but does love a seasonal pumpkin pie and handmade milk chocolates from Fran’s Chocolates in Seattle. So what’s his favorite food? In a January 2008 interview, Obama stated that his favorite food is from Italian Fiesta Pizzeria in Hyde Park, Chicago. They specialize in pizza and provide only carry out and delivery services.

Some more of President Obama’s favorites according to the NY Times include Planters Trail Mix: nuts, seeds & raisins, roasted almonds, pistachios, water, Dentyne Ice, MET-Rx chocolate roasted peanut protein bars, vegetables, especially broccoli and spinach.

Mitt Romney on the other hand is a big fan of healthy food. He enjoys Kashi cereals, hummus, pita as well as organic applesauce. According to TODAY everything's organic and his favorite sandwich is a peanut butter and honey sandwich. And on his birthday Ann Romney always prepares him little meatloaf cakes with a sweet sauce. He’s also known to love the chain Carl’s Junior and seems like he prefers his pizza and burritos with no cheese.
