GroceryHero reminds you of the expiration dates of groceries in your pantry while enabling the discovery innovative recipes based on these ingredients. In the United States conservative estimates put the total consumer grocery wastage bill at $180 billion per year, an average of $2,270 per four person household. Search over one million recipes via the ingredients in your house.
What it actually does: GroceryHero helps you keep track of what foods you have in your house. You can scan and store groceries with barcodes as well as quick add items used before. The app will even remind you of the expiration dates of stored grocery items. Need to use some foods up that are about to expire? Find new and innovate recipes based what you have on hand. The app will even estimate nutrition information for selected recipes per serving as well as yield and preparation time. Love to share recipes? You can email and tweet what you eat!
