Each week we review a food related app. This week it’s OrganizEat - recipe organizer & keeper cookbook box – find out what the Lempert Report thought.
What it says it does: Eliminate those stacks of cookbooks and recipe organizers from your kitchen when you store your favorite recipes in the OrganizEat Recipe Organizer. This handy app lets you keep all your favorite recipes organized right on your iPhone. Use this app to keep Grandma's secret recipes stored, or use it to organize your own custom recipes. Simply snap a photo of your recipe and it's ready for you to view. The app keeps your recipes organized by category, and you can tag each dish for easy searching. Share your recipes with friends with the email, Facebook, and Twitter share buttons.
What it actually does: Enter each recipe into the app by snapping a photo - no need to type! Or save recipes from the web automatically – with more than 25 popular sites supported. In addition, users can also manually enter recipes. Organize every recipe by folder and searchable tags; what’s great is that multiple tags search is also supported. Users can add their own pictures to each recipe, so they’ll remember what it should look like or how is was last served. Recipes can be emailed directly from the app or shared with other OrganizEat users.
How useful is the information for target audience?: OrganizEat is excellent for keeping recipes in one place; whether they are family herilooms or new recipes found on the web.
Ease of use: The app is very easy to use, the best part is that you have 3 easy ways to add recipes: take a photo, import from a website, or add manually.
Who would best benefit from the app?: Anyone who wants to get more organized in the kitchen, and wants to keep all of their great recipe finds in one place.
