The App Review: ShopRite Supermarkets App

Each week we review a food related app. This week it’s ShopRite  – find out what the Lempert Report thought.

What it says it does: Now you can order your groceries from your phone or iPad.  With the newest ShopRite App you can browse and purchase all of your ShopRite grocery needs from your phone, and continue to use all of the great tools to help you get things done at your local store; view weekly specials, create and edit your shopping list, clip coupons, and view recipes. ShopRite from Home, Shop from your Phone, Shop from Anywhere!

What it actually does: Start shopping on your desktop, and finish on your phone, or vise versa, as your lists and cart synchronize automatically from phone to iPad to desktop. Running low on items? Scan barcodes from your pantry, fridge or bathroom to get real time pricing and add the items to your cart. Want to buy many of the same items you bought last week? You can view past purchases on the app and add the items to your cart. If you are searching for new items you can filter by brand and or price to get exactly what you are looking for.

Love saving money (who doesn’t?), add the most current Weekly Specials items to your list. Dinner panic? The app has thousands of quick and easy recipes – add ingredients to your shopping list with one tap.

How useful is the information for target audience?: The app is very useful for those who shop at ShopRite and want to keep all of their shopping information in one place. Have access to recipes, coupons and more and never forget an item again.

Ease of use: The app’s interface is straightforward, and easy to use. The functions it performs are clear.

Who would best benefit from the app?: The app is great for ShopRite shoppers who might be sharing lists with their family and also for those who like to keep track of all of their purchases – the app keeps them in one place!
