The App Review: Wegmans App

Each week we review a food related app. This week it’s Wegmans  – find out what the Lempert Report thought.

What it says it does: The Wegmans app is your mobile store. It's loaded with tools that save you time at the store and help you with meals when you are home. Features include, shopping lists, recipes, product scanning, pharmacy refills and more. The app is even directly linked to your shoppers club and of course your local store’s information.

What it actually does: The Wegmans app offers a variety of useful tools. Use your past purchases to jump start your shopping list, complete with an estimated total. Your list is ordered in a walking path for your selected store to save you time while you shop. Need a recipe? The app has recipes as well. View, review, and save favorite recipes right from your phone. Got one you like? Automatically add all the ingredients you may need to your shopping list. Curious as to what’s in Wegmans prepared foods? Through the app you can easily access all of their menu recipes, as well as nutrition info.

How useful is the information for target audience?: The app is very useful for Wegmans shoppers. Whether it’s refilling a prescription, creating a shopping list that is automatically in the order of the layout of the store or even watching various "how to" videos created by Wegmans. The app has a variety of useful features.

Ease of use: The app’s interface is straightforward, easy to use and it helps make shopping in Wegmans even more of a breeze.

Who would best benefit from the app?: The app is great for Wegmans shoppers; it has a wealth of information sure to satisfy any customer hungry for information.
