This week’s new product review is yet another new entrant into the bottled water category. Vibi. Vibi is a flavored water with 27% of the RDA for fiber, and loaded with vitamins B, Folate, Pantothenic Acid and Niacin. No sugars, sodium or fat – each bottle contains just 15 calories. Or score? Its an 83. I really have to question whether or not we want our waters to contain these “functional” ingredients. While 6 grams of niacin, or B3 vitamin, is not harmful, the tolerable level for adults is 35 mg a day – is it necessary – especially since this also contains vitamin B6. The texture of the water itself is not as smooth as my palate likes and the aroma and taste of blueberry pomegranate acai is a bit overpowering. Clearly this is a water to be consumed by itself and not with foods. Contains stevia – and I still can’t get over why products like this are labeled non-gmo, vegan, gluten-free and keto certified. Like to have them explain a bit more on the label just how it supports gut health and supports the immune system. Hey its water!
