Food and Wine pairing for Thanksgiving and Bad News for Meat Lovers

Here's what's happening this week in Food News!

Recently released research from WHO - The World Health Organization - and published in published in The Lancet,  reveals that processed meats — such as bacon, sausages and hot dogs — cause cancer. But the bad news doesn't stop there! In addition, the WHO says red meats including beef, pork, veal and lamb are "probably carcinogenic" to people. Scientists reviewed evidence linking red meat and processed meat consumption to cancer, and concluded that eating processed meats regularly increases the risk of colorectal cancer.
Thanksgiving is right around the corner and that means it's time to think about food for the big day, and if you're a foodie that also probably means thinking about your food and wine pairings. But one part of the meal that often gets left out when you think of wine is veggies! Vegetables are an essential part of any meal… particularly Thanksgiving meal.
