Approximately 15 dollars and the future of the hotel business travelers’ dining experience.  From Chicago to New York to London, high-end hotels located in hotspots for business travelers are offering pre-packaged meals for on-the-go guests, or those who just frankly don't want the leisurely and expensive service that eating in the hotel’s dining room often suggests. 
 
Self-serve, gourmet, fresh, and friendly on the wallet are what businesses travelers and other hotel guests can find in the new wave of hotel dining. Most outlets cater only to the grab and go fast food culture and don't provide seating, but guests often take the food up to their rooms or eat it on the go. 
 
Hotel managers in busy city’s were noticing guests flooding out the front doors and into the local (or national) coffee chain right next door- where they could grab and go with breakfast for less than $10. In room dining and in-house restaurants just can’t compete. The grab and go model is less expensive for both consumer and supplier as compared with over the top in room dining.
 
The Lempert Report sees a more than a perfect opportunity here for supermarkets; think convention centers, and hotels near these massive meeting places where most often guests are on-the-go or grabbing a table for one. Meals and snacks offered should be fresh and satisfying as well as perfect to take on the ever more common food-less flights. Frequent fliers know exactly what to expect at airports and in flight so market offerings should surpass these.  
 
Remember, this isn’t fast food as we currently know it – this is fast food that caters to the client who desires a more gourmet, nutritious and wallet friendly meal.
