Customer comments include: * The self check-out was born of corporate greed. Eliminate an employee and let people do it themselves. Make more profit at the expense of the employee. Self check-out should offer a discount to the customer since the customer is providing free labor. * As for going back to in person checkout.. I like the idea of people having jobs , but can they hire people who dont move at snails pace and dont have long conversations with each customer. When each checkout includes a 5+ minute long casual conversation it can take forever to get checked out.
