Valentine’s Day usually makes us think of red roses, fancy chocolates, and a candlelit Italian dinner paired with a fine wine. Well…that’s not exactly the case for those die hard Slyder® fans; yup were talkin’ Valentine’s Day at the castle, White Castle that is. Valentine’s couples with pre-booked tables can celebrate the romantic evening with a candlelit dinner, a special menu, table side service, and flowers. This is the 20th year that White Castle is offering the romance to love birds, but be warned as the day quickly approaches, reservations at participating locations will fill up fast.

The castle will also be decked out in themed décor and patrons can have their picture taken for later viewing on the White Castle website.  Jamie Richardson, White Castle VP - corporate relations commented that the Valentines promotion has been a "huge hit because a lot of our loyal customers - fondly known as 'Cravers' - either met in a White Castle Restaurant or have other enjoyable memories they like to celebrate here." With budgets still tight, White Castle reservations are an assumed hot commodity- and with good reason. Last year, the fast food burger joint hosted nearly 4,000 couples at 157 locations. The Louisville location even hosted a Valentines wedding, with a White Castle silver trey buffet and a Slyder® cake to match.

If you are thinking of taking your special Valentine to White Castle this February 14th, visit their website (http://www.whitecastle.com/) to find out if your local restaurant is celebrating the romance.  But keep in mind that one single Slyder® boasts 140 calories, that’s not counting toppings, fries, onion rings and the fact that most patrons indulge in more than one burger.

Supermarketguru.com would love to see your Valentine’s at White Castle photos, so if you’re lucky enough to get a reservation please send your photos to Amanda@supermarketguru.com and they will be featured on Phil’s New Product Hits & Misses fan page on facebook.
