Let’s face it! Shopping centers and strip malls across America have become quite predictable, often hosting the same chain stores and eateries seen from town to town. But for the shopper with a shorter attention span and desire for a more unique shopping experience, the fashion chain, Urban Outfitters, has launched a new shopping experiment right smack dab in the middle of scenester Hollywood that caters to the changing tastes and trends of hipster consumers. Named for it’s address on Cahuenga Boulevard, Space 15 Twenty is a mini mall strategically located amongst Hollywood’s busiest nightclubs, record stores, movie houses, and recording studios. Hosted by Urban Outfitters, the concept offers a rotation of fashion, art, food, and musical performances in the courtyard. The idea being that every time you visit, there’s a whole world of new things to browse.

Working with neighboring music, film and art establishments, both courtyard and adjoining gallery will present a rotating cast of local musicians, photographers and artists. And, every few months the Urban Outfitters store will feature one-off installations by a new designer.
To support the Hollywood nightlife, the stores are open until 11pm, with a tapas bar open until midnight. Planning is also in process to host a weekly vintage flea market in the courtyard, surely to attract the many shoppers already visiting the neighboring Hollywood Farmer’s market on the weekends.
