Each week we review a food related app. This week it's Food Network On the Road – find out what the Lempert Report thought.

What it says it does: Food Network On the Road lets you find Food Network recommended restaurants and hot spots across the United States. Whether it’s in a city you live in, one you’re visiting, or one that’s just on your wish list, Food Network On the Road is the best way to plan your next food adventure.

What it actually does:
Food Network On the Road enables users to browse restaurants that have been featured on popular Food Network shows including: Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, The Best Thing I Ever Ate, $40 a Day, Cupcake Wars, Giada’s Weekend Getaways, Throwdown With Bobby Flay and more. Planning a trip? Use the Food Network On the Road App to find restaurants from your favorite food network chefs. Want to know what’s nearby your current location? The app can recommend restaurants in your area. Users can even create a road trip based on the restaurants they want to visit or use the road trips already planned by the app.

How useful is the information for target audience?: The information is very useful for those who love the food network and want to make what they see on TV a reality. The app even provides directions, the address, and phone number of each restaurant, and users can recommend the restaurants through Facebook, Twitter or email to their friends.

Ease of use: Food Network On the Road app is easy to use and would be great to check if you were looking for a fun “Food Network Reviewed” restaurant nearby. The interface is fun to use and continuously being updated.

Who would best benefit from the app?: The app is absolutely perfect for those who love watching the Food Network and want to visit all of the restaurants featured – because all of the restaurants are in one place on the app. You’ll never need to write down where Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives went last week or what restaurants were featured on The Best Thing I Ever Ate – they are all there for you right on the app.
