Each week we review a food related app. This week it’s Grocery Pal – find out what the Lempert Report had to say.
What it says it does: Grocery Pal points you towards weekly sales at your local supermarkets and discount stores, and even matches your shopping list items against products online with lower prices. Find savings and products from stores such as SAFEWAY, CVS/pharmacy, Walmart, Amazon, RiteAid, Target, ALDI, Kmart, Dollar General, Family Dollar, Albertsons, H-E-B, Harris Teeter, any many more!
What it actually does: Grocery Pal is a true pal - the app can scan your grocery list to match products online at lower prices and free shipping, or you can add items manually and shop by what’s on sale. You can compare prices and add items to your list from various stores near by, providing the best prices. Lists can be organized into aisles and categories, and you can sync your lists between devices. You can even buy items online directly from the app with the "Buy Now" feature.
How useful is the information for target audience?: The app is excellent for saving money and comparing sales across stores on similar items. Definitely an app to visit time and time again for updates and added sale items. You can even send lists via email or text messaging, so you’ll never forget an item again.
Ease of use: The app is very easy to use, and for those who like to keep all of their shopping info in one place, Grocery Pal is great – you can even select coupons and add them directly to a store’s loyalty card, and you automatically get savings at store checkout when you swipe the card! It's that simple!
Who would best benefit from the app?: The app is great for anyone who wants to save money and doesn’t want to spend time flipping through their Sunday circulars. Great app, coupons, and savings all in one place.
