Each week we review a food related app. This week it’s My Conscience My Choice – find out what the Lempert Report thought.
What it says it does: Discover the simplest resource to find and buy leading eco-friendly and cruelty-free personal care, cosmetic, food and household product alternatives to commonly purchased products. For each alternative product we suggest, we let you know why we recommend it, and how you can purchase it immediately through the app, or at a local retailer. By purchasing these products through the app, you support future recommendations by My Conscience, My Choice.
What it actually does: Use My Conscience, My Choice app to find eco friendly, natural and effective alternatives to popular products. Swipe through product comparisons to get some great suggestions or use the search to find products. Browse by category or easily scan barcodes of products you are interested in. Have some favorites, save them and view them at a later time.
How useful is the information for target audience?: The app is great to get some natural and alternative product suggestions. Currently local retailers are only available in the tri-state area. Products are somewhat limited; if the app doesn’t have what you are looking for it will give you a natural alternative, or will draft an email to send to support to add the product to the database.
Ease of use: The app is easy to navigate, whether using the search/browse or taking photos of products in your pantry or in the store.
Who would best benefit from the app?: Anyone looking to switch to all natural products in their pantry and/or around the house.
