Each week we review a food related app. This week it’s SimpleDeal – find out what the Lempert Report thought.

What it says it does: It's simple. No typing, no maps, no camera. Just point your mobile device at any restaurant or bar, tap, and SimpleDeal will provide detailed information on that exact location at that exact moment. Restaurant hours, menus and instantly redeemable offers all at your fingertips - giving you what you want, when you want it.

You'd be surprised what restaurants and bars are willing to offer knowing you're right outside their door. Two-fers, 50% off appetizers, free desserts -- the deals go on and on, and they're just for you.

What it actually does: Based on your location, SimpleDeal shares the deals and discounts offered at local restaurants. No typing, just point and tap to find the closest deals, restaurant menus, wait time and hours, most popular menu items, and more.

How useful is the information for target audience?: The app is very useful. Looking for a deal while strolling a new city or even your own neighborhood, SimpleDeal shows you exclusive deals at restaurants in your vicinity.

Ease of use: No typing, no maps, no camera. Just point at a restaurant location and SimpleTap™ to see everything that location wants to offer you at that exact moment.  The Lempert Report is looking forward to seeing SimpleDeal expand to more cities.

Who would best benefit from the app?: Anyone who loves saving money, likes trying new restaurants, or likes to know where they can get the best deal.
