The Supreme Court’s decision to wait on Trump’s “Liberation Day” tariffs keeps the pressure turned up on importers, and by extension on grocery retailers and CPG brands, for months longer than many in the industry had hoped. The justices are heading into a four‑week recess without ruling on the legal challenges to Trump’s tariffs, despite having heard arguments on an expedited basis back on Nov. 5.
