Citrus is the perfect mate for fresh, hot coffee...

The piquant freshness of citrus is the perfect mate for fresh, hot coffee. This simple, simple, simple recipe is a surprisingly great way to serve coffee to make any breakfast a holiday meal or special treat. Freshly-squeezed juice makes this recipe perfect, but it will still be delicious if you use store bought juice.

Café l’Orange
Ingredients:

Juice from 2 large oranges, about ½ cup
8 to 12 squares of chocolate (1” each), semi sweet is best
4 cups of your favorite coffee blend, freshly brewed
Directions:
Brew the coffee.
Squeeze the oranges of their juice into a glass measuring cup.
Set out four large mugs.
Pour about ¼ cup or more of the orange juice into each cup.
Add the chocolate pieces, 2-3 to each cup, then pour the hot coffee in and stir until the chocolate is melted.
Drink up!
Tastes best plain but a little milk is okay, too.

Makes 4 generous servings
