October 11, 2011

Make this easy-as-can-be summery treat year-round using Devin's simple recipe

Devin’s tips: Sure, you’re familiar with strawberry shortcake . . . it’s just about the perfect summer treat. Well, here’s a new fave that’s likely to please a crowd of any size and any age — and it certainly doesn’t hurt that you don’t have to slave over it for more than a couple of minutes.

SupermarketGuru note: make this a year round, anytime treat by using frozen strawberries instead of fresh – just thaw according to package directions.

This recipe makes 4 servings.

1/2 cup fat-free frozen whipped topping, thawed

Toast the waffles according to package directions.
