Shirataki is made from the root of the konjac plant and is a soluble fiber which is a firmer texture than wheat noodles and has less than 5% of the calories of regular pastas. Also contains chickpea flour and potato starch.Just 15 calories for 2/3 of a cup. 0 grams of fat. 0 sodium and 0 sugars. The mouthfeel will take a few bites to become accustomed to, but the main drawback is that when you first open the package it does have a very earthy aroma and you'll need to rinse off before eating. These are ready to eat - but my recommendation is to drop in boiling water for a minute or so.
