Switchel is a drink made from a recipe of water, vinegar, ginger and maple syrup. This one is made with organic ingredients and they added carbonation and it is delicious. There are two conflicting origins of the beverage - some say the Caribbean and some say New England. This one is made in Vermont. One thing for sure, all the experts agree that it was created to satisfy the thirst of farmers during the summer heat. One bottle is 81 calories with 15 grams of sugars. Some prefer it as a cocktail mix.
