Which of our 3 contestants came home with the honor of Top Spud?
If you’ve ever wondered which food truck has the best potato recipe in the nation, you're in luck! We just found that out when we announced the winner of the Spud Nation Throwdown 2016. The three finalists competed right here at the Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas for the title of Top Spud. Heather Banter from City Circle Spuds with Naptown Mac & BBQ Spud, Bridgett Blough from the Organic Gygpsy with Green Tahini Potato Soup, and Daniel McCarthy from Tatoheads with Chorizo Cheese Fries.
What was so interesting about this competition is how these three chefs worked together. They were great personalities for the competition. They all had great back stories. They’re driven as entrepreneurs. They’re being recognized in their community, and their recipes show a very creative use of potatoes.
And the Top Spud is… Bridgett Blough who has passion for potatoes!
