There is a new twist to eating pasta

Another creative idea for holiday parties

Just close your eyes and imagine eating spaghetti and meatballs. Now open them and take a look at this. Mini meatballs packed inside a cone made entirely from spaghetti and eggs.

Thanks to a recipe from Dude Foods, all you have to do is cook the pasta, mix in a few eggs then spread out on a cookie sheet and bake for ten minutes at 400 degrees. Then cut in the shape of a triangle and roll into a cone shape and bake or deep fry.

Not a recipe for the true Italian, but could be a fun snack at your upcoming Superbowl party.

My recommendation is to make mini-cones and fill them with just one or two mini meatballs and a little sauce and topped with shredded mozzarella instead of sprinkles. Not only will your guests applause your creativity and culinary skills but you will be offering them a healthier alternative to those dips, chips and wings. You can also get even more creative by printing paper sleeves with your favorite teams’ colors and logos.

You can even create a do it yourself spaghetti cone bar by preparing the cones and setting up a buffet table where your guests can add their own meatballs, cheeses, cocktail franks, shrimp and just about any topping you can think of!
