Each week we review a food related app. This week it’s Yiftee – find out what the Lempert Report thought.
What it says it does: Yiftee is about supporting local communities through gifts that are given to friends on social media, which the friends then pick up at favorite local merchants. A yiftee gift can be a latte at a favorite coffee shop, a bouquet of flowers at the local florist, or a dinner. With Yiftee you can acknowledge that special or not-so-special occasion with something a little nicer than a poke or a post; you can send a Yiftee.
What it actually does: Send a little gift to a friend who helped you out or whose birthday is coming up – you can even send a local gift to congratulate them on a recent accomplishment. Yiftee is simple to use, choose the restaurant or store, select the item and select the recipient – you can even add a little note to congratulate or thank!
How useful is the information for target audience?: Other than sending gifts, you can see where restaurants are located and how pricy they are. It’s a simple app with a straightforward purpose.
Ease of use: The app is simple to use and has you gifting in no time!
Who would best benefit from the app?: The app is great for those who want to thank or congratulate their friends directly from their phone or device and want to support local businesses.
